Youth “aging out” of foster care are an especially vulnerable group. There are relatively

few services and programs to assist them in their transition to adulthood. Many

children “aging out” of the system have difficulty finding living situations and supporting

themselves and few are able to attend college. Often the services that do exist

are inflexible because they tend to be defined by age rather than by service needs.

In your opinion, how might their chances of success be improved?
