His wound was clean and dry, there was minimal pain controlled by endone 5mgs 6hourly PRN and panadiene forte 6 hourly PRN. Mr Johns is due for review by his surgeon, Dr Doolittle, 1 week post discharge. Mr Johns presented today to the emergency department suffering from constipation, abdominal distension, guarding of the lower abdominal area, nausea and today he has started vomiting.
