Your Country, Your Health Care

INSTRUCTIONSFor this project, you will be responsible for creating the general description of your made-up countries health care system. Using aPRESENTATION TOOL OF YOUR CHOICE, you will create a document that summarizes the health care system that you think will be most effective.
For each part mentioned below, make sure to answer the questions with detail and explanation. Provide reasons as to why you chose the type of system that you did and make sure to back it up with research and proof when necessary
. Here are the parts that need to be included in your presentation:

Part 1: INTRODUCTION OF YOUR COUNTRY

• The name of your country


• Your name as Health Minister


• Population of your country


• The existing countries that have inspired your Health Care System

Part 2: FUNDING YOUR HEALTH CARE SYSTEM

• How will your health care be funded? (ie who will pay for it?)


• Is it a Private system or a Public system and why? What was your biggest influence for this decision?


• Who will have access to health care?


• What will be the economic impact of your health care system? (ie how will the funding affect other sectors like education, highways and transporation, national defence, taxes, etc.?)

Part 3: WAIT TIMES AND ACCESSIBILITY (make sure you are able to identify the issues which may include financial problems, wait times, quality of care etc.)

• How will your plan handle patients in need of emergency care with life threatening diseases? What are the possible issues with this plan?


• How will your plan handle patients who need pain relieving surgeries? What are the possible issues with this plan?


• How will your plan handle patients who have non-life-threatening diseases and injuries? What are the possible issues with this plan?


• How will your plan handle patients with mental health concerns? What are the possible issues with this plan?


• How important are detection machines, surgeons, and health specialists (oncologists, psychologists, etc.) in your plan? What are the possible issues with this plan?

Part 4: DEFENSE AGAINST DISEASE

• What plan would you recommend to help control a life threatening contagious disease simliar to COVID-19?


• What financial and economic issues would be created with this plan?

Remember, each of these questions must be answered with reason, detail, and research in order to receive full marks. The more you can back up your idea with examples from other health care systems that use it, the better.
