You work as a host for TED Talks. You have invited Mr Ashraf from Ashraf Group of Companies, Islamabad, to deliver a speech on dealing with difficult people. During his speech, he used questionable humor and said a lot of offensive things that you feel the audience did not like. As he left the stage, he said to the audience, “My jokes are funny, it’s your problem you’re just a bad audience. They loved it last week when I did the same stuff in Karachi”. Furthermore, you realize that he referred to the audience and listeners quite often as ‘you guys’. What changes would you like him to make in his language and attitude? Why should he consider the audience when making humorous comments?
