In addition, the process requires that the concentration of CH4
be at least 20% but no more than 40% (by volume). The compressor system must produce 0.25 kg/s of gas for the process at a temperature of 50°C and a pressure of 700 kPa. The isentropic efficiency of the compressor is 0.75. Assume that the gases used in the compressor enter at 25°C and 100 kPa. Choose a mixture of gases that meets these requirements, and design a compressor and cooling system to meet the process needs. Analyze the current cost of operating such a system.
