The article selected is “Why is learning American sign language a challenge?” written by Kemp (1998). It has been seen that people’s interest in learning American Sign Language has been increased. This encourages schools and other agencies to start these classes to teach people the American Sign Language. Although, like any other spoken language, learning of sign language is complex and tough. It required proper time and training to learn the language properly (Kemp, 1998).
