The following scenario deals with the lack of employee motivation because of the
performance related stress as a result of the economic scena
rio and the threat of possible
layoffs. There is not enough space for creative thinking and understanding the client
requirements because of unhealthy rivalry among the team which is affecting their creative
skills. The employees need to be communicated that their jobs are safe and they are valuable
to the company in terms of their skill sets and experience. Thus, the core problem is lack of
communication by the management to the employees which can motivate and satisfy them
and provide them the freedom to work in most creative manner with healthy competition ate
work place. The workplace lacks liberty to put the ideas at work because of the bad work
environment being created by the prevailing conditions. This also affects their ability to
understand the client’s requirements and delivery of the appropriate solution within stipulated
deadline. The problem basically pertains to the communication within the employees and not
between the employees and the client because unless the inter-personal conflicts within the
