The company is concerned because some of the managers are having success building self-directed, high-performing teams while others are not. A discussion occurred that identified the characteristics of the successful team building elements and compared them to those managers that have not been successful. This is a situation where those who are struggling need to learn from those who are doing well. The discussions included identifying what could be going wrong and what steps might be taken for success.



You have been asked to write a research report that summarizes the meeting and offers some recommendations that might be helpful to those managers who are struggling. Specifically, your report must include:

The company is experiencing an imbalance
where some managers have been able to put in place self-directed, high performing teams while others are struggling to establish such teams. This report is a discussion on characteristics of a successful team building elements. There is also a review of the teams that are failing in order to establish the reasons why they are failing. In addition, the paper outlines some recommendations that will help those managers who are struggling. Finally, there is a plan outlining the steps to be used as a guide to the struggling managers and improve negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
High Performing Teams
Introduction
This report has been prepared according to the discussion of the previous meeting. This report seeks to review the managers that have been able to establish high performing teams in the company, as well as those with nonperforming teams. The recommendations given in here target how the organization, decision making and general functioning of weak teams can be restructured to enhance better performance as in the case of the high performing teams.
Managers struggling to come up with high performing teams need to outline conflict avoidance and management strategies in both inter-team conflicts and intra-team conflicts (Wit, Greer & Jehn, 2012). They can do this by learning from their fellow colleagues to improve on their team weaknesses.
