Typically, your critical functions are the business functions that are (1) most sensitive to downtime, (2) fulfill legal or financial obligations to maintain cash flow, (3) play a key role in maintaining your business’ market share and reputation, and/or (4) safeguard an irreplaceable asset. Whether or not this function directly impacts your business image or market share of your organization. 10. The priority ranking you would give this function within the entire organization’s functions. Critical Business Function Classification The goal of these graphs is to help you identify when it is absolutely necessary to restore each of your critical business functions. Once you have determined the maximum downtime for each function, you will be able to prioritize your list in order of most to least critical. Consider the horizontal axis as downtime and the vertical axis as an impact scale. Each critical business function is going to rise over time (becoming a greater impact to your business). You can determine the impact category (high, medium, or low) of each business function by identifying which impact category the function is located in when it reaches its peak impact on your business. erver down as well as phone company power loss. The probability of such an incident is low whereas its impact is high in Philadelphia business setup. It will impact the business critical system.
As downtime is 24 hours due to such fire and impact is on half the building so for Account opening and funding function being a highly critical business process for organization needs to restart within 4 hours. The direct impact will be on opening of accounts, acknowledgement acceptance and funding of dealers. The employee incharge for this function is B. Bechard- Dir and alternative resource is A. stauffer. In order to restore this function we need to work on funding system, payment system, phone and email system as well as loan origination system. Thus, 1 employee will be required for funding and payment system, one may work on phone email as well as loan origination system from IT support services. Other business functions that may get down because of this includes helpdesk and IT division support as the phone outage will be there harming the cables, it will have impact on the customer service. To overcome this, Email function may be kept active at customer support while deactivating call option for 24 hours.
For account servicing function again being highly critical, we need to restore its functioning within 4 hours fow which employee in charge is E. Calloway- VP and the alternative in charges are J. Sylvester and Aasif TBD.
