You have been asked to prepare a general (national) advertisement for use in a magazine. The full-page ad should promote one of the following commercial products:                                                                • A new line of designer underwear                                                                                                                  • A new CD by an up-and-coming music group                                                                                                             • Membership in a chain of health clubs                                                                                         The advertisement should combine visual and textual messages. Plan the ad and write advertising copy according to the following steps: 1. Describe the art and write a headline for two versions of the advertisement: one showing the product in use, the other comparing the product to its competitors. 2. Indicate a specific audience for the advertisement, then write a text paragraph describing the benefits of the product to that audience. 3. For the same audience, write a text paragraph comparing the product to its competitors.
