You are the sales manager for the West region at Red Condor Coffees and Tea, Inc. You need to complete a worksheet that analyzes sales results for each state in your region. In addition, you need to highlight the total sales, the average sales, and the best and worst performing sales regions. You also need to calculate the bonuses for each sales rep. To calculate the bonus amount, you need to create a formula that multiplies their total sales by 3%.
a. Start Excel, open the file H-3.xlsx from where you store your Data Files, then save it as H-Red Condor Qt Sales.
b. In cell ES, enter a formula that subtracts the value in DS (QI Sales Prior Year) from the value in cell CS (QI Sales). Use the fill handle to copy the formula to cells E6:E1S.
c. Enter a formula in cell FS that calculates the percentage that Ql Sales increased over Ql Sales in the prior year. (Hint: Your formula needs to divide the value in cell ES by the value in cell DS.) Use the fill handle to copy the formula to cells F6:F1S.
d. In cell Bl 7, use the AVERAGE function to compute the average sales total for all states. (Hint: Specify the range CS:ClS.)
e. In cell Bl8, use the MAX function to calculate the maximum (or highest) QI sales total for the states.
f. In cell B19, use the MIN function to compute the minimum (or lowest) Ql sales total for the states.
g. Define the range A4:F1S as a table, and apply table style Table Style Medium 3. Include a Total row. Delete the value in cell Fl 6. Click cell E16, click the down arrow in cell El6, then click Sum. Drag the E16 fill handle to cells D16:C16.
h. Sort the data in the table by the Sales Rep column (column B) in order from A to Z. Using the Custom Sort dialog box, apply a second sort level that sorts by Ql Sales vs. Prior Year Ql ($) from largest to smallest.
i. In cell B22, use the AVERAGE function to compute the average Ql increase (as a percentage) for Carson Johnson1 s states. (Use the range FS:F8.)
j. In cell B23, use the AVERAGE function to compute the average QI increase (as a percentage) for Lila Rivers's states. (Use the range F9:Fll.)
k. In cell B24, use the AVERAGE function to compute the average Ql increase (as a percentage) for Manuel Garcia's states. (Use the range F12:F1S.)
I. Apply Blue Data Bar Gradient Fill conditional formatting to the range ES: ElS.
m. Enter a formula in cell F22 that calculates Carson Johnson's bonus amount. (Hint The formula needs to multiply cell F19 by the sum of cells CS:C8. Be sure to use an absolute cell reference for Fl 9 .)
n. Enter a formula in cell F23 that calculates Lila Rivers's bonus amount. (Hint The formula needs to multiply cell F19 by the sum of cells C9:Cll. Be sure to use an absolute cell reference for F19.)
o. Enter a formula in cell F24 that calculates Manuel Garcia's bonus amount. (Hint: The formula needs to multiply cell Fl 9 by the sum of cells C12:Cl5.) Enter your name in cell A26.
p. Preview the worksheet in Backstage view. Change the orientation to landscape. View the worksheet in Page Break Preview and, if necessary, adjust the page breaks so all columns fit on one sheet.
q. Save your changes, close the workbook, then exit Excel. Submit your completed worksheet to your instructor.
