Africa since the colonial period which is now known as DRC was beleaguered
by skirmishes. It was Patrice Lumumba who was ousted from the thrones and was executed. It was a military coup which was fully assisted by the American and the Belgian government. Mobutu Seso Seko was then the chief in command of the army and was later named as Joseph Mobutu when he came to power in 1997. He was known as the warrior who knows no defeat due to his endurance and inflexible will power and leaves fire in his wake as he goes for conquest to conquest. He was also called as the invincible warrior in Tshiluba. Mobutu ruled Africa for over 30 years until he was thrown away by the rebellions. This rebellion attack was supported by the states of Rwanda and Uganda when Kabila launched this attack against Mobutu. It was a joint military attack by the Rwandan military who carried their attacks from Congo. Many forces arise in Congo who wanted to prevent the rebellion attacks by staging obstacles to the rebels at various stages. The rebellions were quite aware of the immense mineral resources available in Congo. Since 1998, military aircrafts flew from Uganda and Rwanda to Congo airbase. It carried military, soldiers and armies. While returning from Congo, the brought gold, coffee as well as soldiers and herds of diamond traders with them.
