You are now going to write a short newspaper article (approx. 300 words) on the most important and/or interesting event(s) that happened to you this week. Write a newspaper article, reporting your important and interesting event to the world. This is an opportunity to demonstrate all that you have learnt this week. You should complete your article on this word document under the bullet points below.
Remember to:
• Use the inverted pyramid structure: who, what, where, when, why and how it happened at the beginning of the article.
• Include features of newspaper article (Headline, strapline, byline and subheadings where appropriate).
• Make sure your headline is engaging. It should be short and punchy. Challenge yourself to include a headline technique, such as: alliteration, rhetorical question, pun, abbreviation, emotive language.
