You are conducting a study to determine the best study technique to prepare for multiple choice exams. Your friends agree to participate in your study. Across the course of the semester, each of your friends agrees to use each of the study techniques you’re interested in to prepare for one of their multiple choice exams: rereading their notes, taking the multiple choice quizzes that come with their textbooks, and working with a study partner to quiz each other. You compare exam scores (a percentage out of 100) for exams in which your friends used each of the three study techniques. Explain how you could use counterbalancing to control for order effects in this study.
