Case Study Answers:
1) The person is in a critical health condition actually and is also a bit ignorant
as from the last sentence of the case study. His age is also in a deadly zone and he has uncontrolled diabetes for quite some time. The mechanic is either a non-compliant patient or someone who is in denial of his condition, and is unaware of the ailments he has and is not giving enough importance to his current condition. He needs proper education by a healthcare staff about his present health condition. Also due to his gangrenous would proper care needs to be done to arrest the infection.
2) The person is suffering from diabetes and hypertension for quite a while now and these diseases are chronic in nature and needs immediate lifestyle changes. Also he is suffering from gangrene on his foot which can be categorised as an acute illness.
3) The questions that I will be asking myself while on duty taking care of the patient with gangrenous wound on his foot are as follows.
