Assignment Question:
It is common to be running several programs at once on your PC or laptop, for example, listening to music while you arebrowsing webs. How is this possible? Describe two ways that your PC or laptop can do, or appear to do, two or more things at once.
Your answer:
The execution of two or more computer programs in parallel by a single computer is known as multi-programming. It is a primary form in which several programs run at the same time on a single processor. We can categorize the ways in which our computer can run multiple programs at a single time as multi-programming and multi-tasking. In case of multi-programming, all the parallel running programs use a single CPU. One of the simple references is, parallel running of Msword and Firefox programs. The main benefit of multi-programming is that it increases the CPU usage.
And the other way in which computer performs in parallel is multi-tasking. In this approach, multiple CPUs are used by the operating system to run multiple tasks at a single time. The main benefit of using this approach is increase in the overall productivity, the work done is more efficient and it saves the overall expenditure etc.
When we are modifying a document on the computer and in parallel replying the mail on any internet mail server is a good example of multi-tasking.

Assignment Question:
The company Things-Connectedhas 8 workstations in a wired LAN with a 100 Mbps switch. It was suggested to the admin officer to replace the switch with a wireless Access Point (AP) that uses the 802.11ac standard and operates at 1 Gbps. Assuming all workstations were simultaneously using the LAN, would the AP deliver faster or slower speeds to the users? Explain your reasoning by including estimates of effective bandwidth for each case.
Your answer:
Wireless access point should give rapid speed to its clients, it should employ 802.11ac. It is proved the speed offered by Wireless Access point that uses 802.11ac standard is almost six times more than any other available in the market. With its implementation, it is assumed that user can download a HD movie as a whole in just a matter of few seconds. Online sharing of Videos and Photos are a matter of just a fraction of seconds. Even on the extended distances, 802.11ac implemented wireless access points offer the fastest speed. So, the work which need heavy internet load, can be performed easily with this combination.
802.11ac standard utilized wireless access point employs the bandwidth of 1300 Mbps on the 5 GHz band plus up to 450 Mbps on 2.4 GHz. So it is highly recommended in the organizations.
Your question:
What are tasks that user do in AP that uses the 802.11ac standard?
Your sample answer: user can download entire HD movie within few seconds and also share videos and photos within second
Week Three
Assignment Question:
Describe the difference between a network’s physical topology and its logical topology; explain the advantages and disadvantages of a physical star topology.
Your answer:
A logical network topology is an idea in the networking that explains how the gadgets are linked in a network. And a physical topology is actually how the gadgets are physically connected in a network. We can say that logical network topology is how the data among gadgets should transfer, while physical topology is how the gadgets are actually connected with the use of cables, network devices and wiring.
Advantages of physical star topology are that this topology requires fewer wires than any other topology. It is very easy to be installed and maintained for the varied durations in a network. It gives high performance because of its simple designs, which helps the team to achieve...
