1. According to Rodney, what is the ultimate source of wealth / economic productivity? How does his theory of where wealth comes from affect his explanation of how underdevelopment works? Is this the same or different from the explanation in the textbook?

2. Who, very specifically, benefitted from the colonial system? What work did they have to do to keep it in place? Were there any people who helped to maintain colonialism that surprised you?
