Write up a final case report detailing your analysis of the evidence. Include a spread sheet of your calculations and the PDF versions of any references you use. The final case report must include at least 3 primary references in ESAformat; all sections required by the ABFE for a case report; proper identification of the unknown specimens used for data analysis; and a final time of colonization date estimation.
NOTE: DO NOT identify incidental arthropods to species level! There is no need for that, and you will waste your time.
Specimens from head: Forty four maggots were collected from the body. Their measurements are: 11.7 mm 12.0 mm 10.9 mm 10.3 mm 10.0 mm 10.2 mm 9.5 mm 10.9 mm 10.1 mm 11.3 mm 10.3 mm 8.4 mm 12 mm 11.2 mm 10.0 mm 10.0 mm 10.3 mm 10.0 mm 10.2 mm 9.5 mm 10.9 mm 10.1 mm 9.5 mm 10.9 mm 10.1 mm 11.3 mm 10.7 mm 10.3 mm 11.1 mm 10.9 mm 11.8 mm 9.9 mm 10.4 mm 10.1 mm 11.3 mm 10.3 mm 8.4 mm 12 mm 11.2 mm 10.0 mm 10.0 mm 10.3 mm 10.0 mm 10.2 mm Mean length for these maggots was 10.6 mm, with a 95% confidence interval of the mean of 10.1 mm to 11.2 mm. All maggots were the same species. Representative photos of the larvae are included. 50 live specimens were also collected and placed in temperature chambers for rearing. All developed into the same species of adult fly. Representative photos of the reared adults are included. Investigators also collected other insects on or around the body that they thought you might want to see. Pictures of these three insects are included (Unknown insects 1-3).
