write a short paragraph. In this paragraph, you will state what topic you would like to research and why. You will come up with a research question and a hypothesis.DO NOT USE THE WORD "I."This assignment is about what you will research, not about you! You can start off the paragraph with: "This research study will be about......," or "This research study will look at...", or "This research study will measure....." Then, state your research question (Again,do not use the word "I"). Finally, state your hypothesis.....no "I" allowed.
Examples for not using the word "I":The topic for the research proposed is with respect to the perceptions early childhood educators have towards having children who speak many different languages in their prekindergarten classroom. This is an important topic especially in large cities like Dallas and Houston where there are over 100 different languages spoken in each city, not just Spanish. The research question becomes, "What are the perceptions early childhood educators have about having children who speak many different languages in their classrooms." The hypothesis for this research study is that Early childhood educators feel overwhelmed when there are children who speak languages other than English or Spanish in their classrooms.
See? There is no use of the word "I," but it is totally understood that you are the one doing the study! No, you cannot use the example above for your research - nice try - LOL!
