Wong writes, “Until someone invents a compostable straw with the functionality of a plastic one, I have a modest proposal for establishments that have banned plastic straws and those that are considering it” (par. 13). Why do you think Wong does not argue for the “development of a compostable straw with the functionality of a plastic one”? Do you think that solution would be more or less effective and feasible than the solutions she proposes? Explain your answer.
