Write a paragraph analyzing anything that seems interesting, such as the role of Carr’s anecdotes in the first six paragraphs. Do they draw the reader into the essay? Present the subject? Help readers identify with Carr? Provide hard evidence? Or consider your own experience with reading on the Internet, and whether you share Carr’s concern that the kind of reading fostered there is undermining “deep reading” (par. 2).
