Respond to this Student post. Using 5 (five) well constructed sentences. No use of AI. In my opinion, the best lessons regarding sex and reproductive health are those that are open, honest, and straight-up. When adults start trying to use awkward analogies they can confuse young adults and potentially contribute to a young adult's vulnerability and innocence being taken advantage of. Additionally, when adults avoid talking about sex, contraceptives, etc. they contribute to the stigma around reproductive health and once again can lead to dangerous situations. Being upfront with children about human anatomy, how sex works, masturbation, contraceptives, etc. prepares young adults and sets them up for safe, healthy sexual relationships with both themselves and others. School health classes were very surface level and a lot of topics went untouched because teachers felt too uncomfortable to talk about them. When adults don't set aside their discomfort to provide a safe environment to teach kids about safe reproductive health practices, children will learn through other sources like social media or pornography, which often promote dangerous practices and spread misinformation. It is vital for adults in children's life to take responsibility of educating children, especially now that social media and electronics are being used by people at younger and younger ages, so that they understand their reproductive options, know how to make the best, educated choice for themselves, and can practice safe, sane, and consensual sex with future partners.
