About Auguste Comte
    Auguste Comte born in the year 1798 was French writer and philosopher. He is credited for being the founder of sociology. He was the one who gave the term “sociology” to this new science for the first time. He advocated positivism and physical systems. He came up with the idea to establish the subject in a systematic manner and came up with science of sociology. In order to cope up with the social malaise of the French revolution Comte developed positive philosophy influences by Henri Saint-Simon, who was a Utopian Socialist. Comte’s work in the field of social evolutionism helped to set a ground for social theories later presented by different social theorists in their own way (Agassi, 2019). He believed in the religion of humanity and theories reflected his personality traits. Comet attended the Lycée Joffre and then the University of Montpellier, and then took admission to the École Polytechnique in Paris, where he learned a lot about the French ideologies of republicanism. His contributions in the field of sociology are remarkable. Comte died in the year 1857.
