Identify and articulate the development of work related skills mapped to evidence drawn from either the project or placement. 3. Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the background and context relative to the chosen project or placement opportunity. 4. Evaluate the effectiveness of preparation and planning undertaken prior to the placement or project implementation. This coursework is worth 100 % of the total marks for this module. Scenario You are required to complete a project portfolio containing the tasks outlined below. Please bear in mind that the tasks are generic for all projects types, but your learning contract will make the project particular to you and your programme. Therefore the area of the project will be agreed the module tutor/supervisor as per your programme in the Learning Contract (Task 1) according to your programme option. The Learning Contract, when complete, will be a form of written permission to undertake the project related tasks or research methods that you plan to undertake in order to carry out the project and compile the portfolio. The report (task 2) will normally focus on the experiences thrown up by the project, how you solved problems, improving practices over the period, or implemented a new process. Portfolio Assignment Task 1 You are required to complete the learning contract (see Appendix 1), agreed with the module tutor/supervisor. To assess the project phases (preparation and implementation) and evaluate their effectiveness; 15% of the task 4. Competency / Knowledge Development: Expectations & Desires
As a student who is pursuing bachelors in business management course at GSM college of London, this learning contract shall aid in summarizing, organizing and logically stating the overall expectations, desires, specific set of learning goals, dependent learning outcomes, suitable strategies as well as resources for attaining these outcomes / goals, the planning for evidences to ascertain the accomplishments, and, finally the ways the validate / assess the same.
In this context to offer a background, the course with respect to the business management was undertaken by me to enable me gain suitable competencies, knowledge and skillsets, that shall make me equip as well as aid in becoming an effective manager irrespective of the industry or domain, and later to that of leadership roles. Given, this high level and longer term plans, the specific expectations span across the competencies, knowledge and skillsets pertaining to leadership, human resource management, project management, business strategy, and, business operations,, in addition to introduction and familiarity with various other business management functions as well as concepts. The specific identification of these subjects of leadership, human resource management, project management, business strategy, and, business operations is that these subjects are basic fundamentals and over which specific business competence of the manager roles could be suitably developed and delivered at the work place. In summary, the competencies, knowledge and skillsets with respect to these subjects and basic foundational knowledge with respect to other subjects shall enable and make it easier for me to attain being an effective manager irrespective of the industry or domain, and later to that of leadership roles.
Learning Goals
As described earlier, the key expectations and desires for me with respect to the course concerns the development of competencies, knowledge and skillsets pertaining to leadership, business operations, project management, business strategy, and, financial management, in addition to introduction and familiarity with various other business management functions as well as concepts.
In this context the specific set of goals include the following –
