The highest earning streaming segments can be divided into four geographic categories:

Value Proposition
Netflix has added a value to its company by gaining customer confidence based on convenience and affordable films. It had brick and mortar video rental stores in its initial phase. Netflix was also known to offer rental DVDS. Since its online advancement, Netflix is known to offer a wide range of selection at competitive prices. They resort to a subscription-based strategy of “watch-as-much-as-you-like”.
Amazon is a pioneer of ecommerce and is one the biggest companies in the world with a huge customer base. Amazon’s main USP is its innovative design and breakthrough business concept
Revenue Streams
The customers who pay the subscription fees generate the main revenue. The source of revenue generation has remained the same even when the company had switched from mail order to streaming.
At Amazon, the company's biggest earnings are from its subscription-based model. Its different service bases provide revenue, which includes Amazon Prime Service, Music, Prime Video movies as well as online streaming.
Channels
The Netflix website is the main channel. Initially the subscribers were allowed to mail order. In recent times, Netflix allows its subscribers to stream video directly from the website. The mobile app serves as a secondary channel. The TV set top box is other channels.
On the other hand, at Amazon, the channels are its website and mobile application along with other streaming services
