Introduction
    Set in the 1950s, Charles Martin Smith’s survival drama film follows the story of an arrogant white bush pilot, Charlie and his only passenger, Kanaalaq who is a sick Inuit girl. As Charlie agrees to fly the young girl to a hospital in exchange of two walrus tusks his plane crashes in the Arctic tundra. Here I would like to talk about the interface wherein two cultures meet causing resistance followed by understanding, acceptance and transformation.
