Individual Presentation Assignment Details 1. Choose any one of the topics presented in the list below and prepare a 3-minute presentation, simulating presenting to a live audience. 2. Record your presentation using any clear, high quality device (phone, webcam, camera, tablet, etc.) 3. This individual presentation will test your presentation skills and will consider: 1. Structure and Timing 2. Use of notes, presentation skills, volume and clarity 3. Eye contact and body language 4. Introduction, body and Conclusion 4. Refer to the Rubric 5. Timing – approximately 3 minutes. 6. Oral presentation only: No slides etc required. 7. This is an individual assessment. 8. You will receive further instructions on making videos in week 8 workshop, prior to submission of this assessment task. Submission Details 1. This must be submitted via Canvas as a video link. 2. Record and upload your video to Youtube, and submit the url link on Canvas as your assignment. It is your responsibility to make sure the link to your video works. 3. Make sure your video is uploaded as "Unlisted" on Youtube so it cannot be found by a Youtube search. 4. Assignment is due at the end of Week 8, Sunday, 20th September 2020 by 11.59 pm. 5. Video length is expected to be approximately 3 minutes. 6. This presentation video will account for 10% of your total marks. 7. Submission should be clear and engaging 8. The danger of texting / using phone and driving
Texting or using phone demands attention, while dri
ving if a person uses phone, his attention diverts completely away from the road and gets towards the phone. This causes distracted driving which is terrible. Texting involves 3 separate mental and physical actions that are visual, manual and cognitive. To make it worse, urge to read message and respond back is an addiction making people read and respond immediately. The problem here is that due to this urge, and a matter of few seconds, life may get upside down. Everyone knows it is dangerous but still really very common specifically among teenagers. On average, it would hardly take 5 seconds to read a text and a little longer to respond back to it but this length of time spent looking on screen is equivalent to length of time not spent looking on the road which may lead to a crash and major accident.
