Sources like Wikipedia can be a source of misrepresented or even false information. However, they can also be a good source of general information. Practically, if we need to search for information about any topic, the first place we look for is either Google or Wikipedia. I do believe that the information on these sources is not relevant for research papers though. Research papers require authentic information that is backed by verifiable facts, studies or researches. Since the information present on the web have no backup or authenticity they cannot be used to make important statements or conclusions like the ones made in research papers....
