Whites and blacks typically have different ideas about the importance of working toward equality. People’s incomes also affect how they feel about equality: those with higher incomes care a bit less about equality. But does income affect attitudes towards equality the same for whites and blacks? This calls for investigating a possible interaction effect. Create a regression equation using the ANES Egalitarianism Index as your dependent variable and three independent variables: recoded race (white/black), family income (in 1,000s), and the interaction between these two variables. Create a table of your results; then draw a graph that illustrates your results and interpret the graph.
