While the blog is built throughout the term, the reflective report is to be developed towards the end of the term, as it requires you to present a critical self-analysis and reflection of your learning as a result of experiencing Design Thinking activity within this unit. The self-analysis and reflection must consider yourpersonal development, as well as thedevelopment of your knowledge of Design Thinking topics. As a conclusion, students are to develop an action plan of key events and activities that they can undertake over the next 6 months to acquire any knowledge, skills and behaviours identified as requiring development. The reflective report should be submitted as a Word document with a length of 2,500 words (+/- 10%), excluding preliminaries, tables, figures and references. Your reflective report must make reference to appropriate academic literature and theory in a critical way. Moreover, the report MUST explicitly reference appropriate evidence in your blog using a clear cross-reference system. The reflective report must make use ofat least 10 high-quality academic references (APA style).

Learning Launch This activity blog I am not writing but I am working on it Rapid Prototyping Tuesday, 28 May 2019, 12:43 AM by Viralkumar Bhikhabhai Patel Activity/ experience description Prototyping is the design verification phase of products development because of it exhibits or demonstrates the design. Rapid Prototype thinking is just taking the design of a product from the basic, virtual, imaginary realm into the physical world. Thoughts and feelings during the Rapid Prototyping activity. During Rapid Prototype Activity, I and my team started thinking about the Dog-Dipper design and gathering material from the table. It was an amazing first-time experience to make basic product design in just a few minutes. I think this activity helps me to improve and develop my rapid creative skill. Thoughts and feelings after the Rapid Prototyping activity As my point of view, Rapid prototyping is the most essential step in design of the process. However, it is very confusing to create and execute. I think a prototype plays an important role in solving the basic issues before the product launch. Learn from Rapid Prototyping Activity I learn basic knowledge of rapid prototype which is a simulation version of final products. The aim of rapid prototyping is to test a product before investing lots of money and time into developing the final variant of the sellable products. Develop myself further in the context of Rapid Prototyping activity I can train myself to draw better in a shorter period of time which can be applied to product design. Also, I find that important ideas don’t need a lot of time. I want to reduce my own tendencies to overthink and get divert from the problem which helps me to develop this skill to a great extent. Journey Mapping Activity Activity/ experience description Today I acquired knowledge and understand about journey mapping in the classroom by study experience. Journey mapping has visualized the process and help to evacuate the obstacles and make the process efficient and natural. Thoughts and feelings during the journey mapping activity I drew my journey mapping from the last days of my bachelor degree to till now. It was an amazing feeling inside me during the drawing of journey mapping to think about that’s days when I was going to IELTS classes to gathering my all documents and fill up my visa file to the first day in Australia. It was the easiest task for me to draw journey mapping because I was passing through from those days. Thoughts and feelings after the Journey mapping activity It's one of the engaging activity. I saw every student engage themselves in this activity because everyone passes from all that’s days. So each of them explains each part of this activity very well with micro details. Learn from Journey Mapping Activity Journey Mapping is a way to visualize the process from beginning to end. Journey mapping help to achieve the goal through proper step by steps, know about customer experience and how they associate with their business. Develop myself further in the context of journey mapping activity For journey mapping, I must know about what’s I have and what’s I want. I will plan to draw my goal journey mapping after some weeks to develop my skill and definitely help me to achieve it. For journey mapping, I must use my mind in a silent area and just think about this is my target and develop a path to reach this place. Ask a question to my self which is the best way to achieve a goal. Brainstorming Activity/ experience description Today I learnt and understand about brainstorming. It helps to make a quick decision. The goal of brainstorming is to use the aggregate thinking of the group, by connecting with each other, listening and expanding on different thoughts. Thoughts and feelings during the brainstorming activity On starting of activity, I was very confused when I got one A4 size paper which has a number of small circles. How can I joined every circle, can I draw a face, can I draw a car etc. But, after I quickly started drawing different emoji in different circles without thinking more about on. Because brainstorming is a tool to respond quicker. Thoughts and feelings after the brainstorming activity It's one of the interesting activity. I saw one student made a car to joint every circle, the second one made a human face on different circles. I enjoy lots after brainstorming activity. learn from brainstorming activity Brainstorming is an extraordinary method to create a lot of ideas that you would not have the option to produce by just sitting down with pen and paper. I can use brainstorming in any design structure or work processes, for project solutions to develop ideas, planning. Develop myself further in the context of brainstorming activity For me, practice is the best option to develop brainstorming. Focus on questions or problems, clarify all ideas, set goal etc. which help to develop brainstorming. Persona Today, We learnt to visualise a persona in the classroom. First, We made 5 students group I knew 2 of them very well. We have a difficult task one Australian citizen Andrew who is working for the reputed company since 1990 but their current employer is restructuring and wants an equivalent degree to keep his position. So, 12th pass Andrew has enrolled in CQU’business school. Persona means the particular kind of character that an individual looks to possess which is usually completely different from their real or personal character and our team started thinking on it. We draw 45-year-old Andrew scratch and started filling all the question with discussing with the team member. Some questions are difficult because of the age gap like what do they think and feel? What would they say? What are there frustrations? But we adopted his character and think more about his situation current condition and after discussing we filled all those difficult questions. That’s a different type of activity and we enjoy lots during this persona activity. We learn persona very deeply from this activity to adopt someone character and his thoughts.
