For each type, identify a ‘real-world’ example of contemporary public relations practice. Assignment 2: Essay Describe the four types of public relations in the model: Find an example of a real world application of each type in contemporary public relations practice. You must find a different example for each type. Identify how traditional and social media, and engaging with stakeholders are used in these types of public relations Assignment 2: Essay For each of the types: Reflect on any ethical considerations (challenges or benefits) related to using each in practice. By the time you have completed this you will have a good understanding of the four types. Now you need to start looking for situations in which you can demonstrate what they look like in practice. You can look for potentially relevant media stories in the Factiva database, available through QUT’s library website. Once you’ve found a couple of likely scenarios for each theory, see what else you can find out about the situations. Try looking on organisational websites and similar sources for this type of detail. Make notes about what you find. You should now be in a position to decide on examples to illustrate each different type. most recognized and talked about theory in this sector. They assist to provide distinct approaches
towards public relations in a context. Th

They hold a responsibility between public and organizations. Any organization who is looking to
expand its business in international markets normally adopts Public relations as a way to reach
cross cultural markets. There come many features that these professional require to consider to
become successful in such markets. Those factors are values, beliefs, language barriers, cultural
differences, and other to make it little difficult for a company to promote its business in foreign
market.
The Press Agentry Model:
Phineas Taylor Barnum is the originator of the Press Agentry. He was the one who used
to mix half-truths and fantasy in his circus in order to sell his messages. This is done to create
events and news worthy stories in order to gain public notice and to attract media. This is done
by one way communication that grins messages from one source to other destination by
persuading the receiver to follow the action , thus messages are intended in that way. As it is
defined that this is termed as one way communication this uses manipulations and persuasions so
to influence the receptors which reacts in favor of the company. This method started long before
in the nineteenth century with a sole purpose to influence the audience.
There are three factors being used to influence the behavior of audience:
 Popularizations
 Promotions
 Alter a Bad image
Advantages: here Public relations Practitioners look to change behaviors of the recipients, thus
to enhance and favor the organizations and personalities they work for. It has a power to rebuild
the image which has been lost because of some incidents. It majorly entertains a large audience
and they are able to connect themselves with it.
Disadvantages: A one way communication does not give a full idea about the reaction of the
receivers easily. This makes creators not to take into consideration the interest of the end public.
It does not rely on research or surveys to make sure the credibility and accuracy, they just
manipulate things. Ethics are at risk in Press agents where they lie and alter the truth.
