Distinction between medicalization and biomedicalization journals
Medicalization and biomedicalization are the two distinct fields. The medicalization journals deal with the social issues solved with the medicine. On the contrary, biomedicalization journals deal with use of scientific approach for the betterment of life. In general, it is difficult to differentiate biomedicalization journal and medicalization journal as both medicalization and biomedicalization occur at the same time. Biomedicalization can be theoretical approach to the medicalization approach (Midanik).
    Medicalization can be defined as the process, in which social issues become medical issues. Social issues, which were considered as moral or legal problems such as addiction become medical issue due to medicalization. The wide acceptance of the medicine and medical authority give authorization to the medicalization (Bell and Figert). Medicine is a field where science is included in most of human experiences, which are personal in nature such as birth, pain, suffering, need, and humiliation.
