What do you need to do?  Write a 2000 word short research paper of a research you conducted yourself.
Assignment topic  The food environment (e.g. food availability, eating context) and available resources (e.g. money, skills, time) have an important influence on food choice. When students move out and start living on their own, both the food environment as well as the available resources change. These changes might be related to the healthy food choices they make. You are asked to investigate the following question:
Do students who live with their parents/care takers compared to students who do not live with their parents/care takers……

- have different attitudes towards healthy food choices? - have different subjective norms towards healthy food choices? - have different perceived behavioural controls towards healthy food choices? You need to follow a scientific approach and use the Theory of Planned Behaviour in a quantitative research design as your scientific framework. This means that you need to

1. Write down why it is important to investigate the research question (introduction section) 2. Develop a questionnaire which is able to provide an answer to the research question and tell the reader how you have conducted your research (methodology section) 3. Analyse the results of your investigation and report them (results section) 4. Compare and discuss your results by using scientific studies (discussion section) In order to answer these questions you need to interview 5 students who live with their parents/care takers and 5 students who do not live with their parents/care takers.
Use the theory of planned behaviour to structure your questionnaire. Make sure that you have at least 4 belief questions and 4 evaluation questions to measure attitudes, 4 belief questions and 4 evaluation questions to measure subjective norm and 4 belief questions and 4 evaluation questions to measure perceived behavioural control
You research needs to have the following headings:

a- Rationale (what do you want to investigate and why is that important?).  b- Theory of Planned Behaviour (explain the theory and discuss how the behaviour you want to investigate is related to this theory) c- The aim (state the aim of your research in one or two sentences)  d- Methodology (explain how you have carried out the research
