Week 11 assignment 1 - Cloud services
Assignment goal- Learn about "Cloud services/computing" and any related IT security concerns.
Background
You are the Chief Information Security Officer for an organization. Your Chief Executive Officer (CEO) asked you to help her decide whether or not to move your organization's applications to the "cloud". She specifically asked you to create a presentation that explains the following:
1. What is meant by "Cloud services/computing"
2. What are the Computer and Network security concerns, if there are any about placing applications into the cloud?
3. Based sorely on your computer and network security concerns, what is your recommendation for placing your organizations applicationsin the cloud?
Assignment task
Using your favorite Internet search engine create a presentation (Microsoft Power point or .PDF) thatcontains the following slides and information:
Slide 1 - Cover slide
Slide 2 - Agenda (What you intend to discuss)
Slide 3 - What is meant by "Cloud services?-Provide an explanation of what is meant by the term "Cloud services/computing" and list at least (3) cloud service providers.
Slide 4 -Computer and Network security risksof placing applications in the "cloud",Are there any computer and network security risks, of placing your organization's applications in the "cloud"? Ifso then what are they and how likely are they to occur?
Slide 5 -Recommendation for placing your organization's applications in the cloud -Based solelyon your Computer and Network securityconcerns about placing applications in the cloud do you recommend moving your organization's applications to the cloud or not? Please explain your reasoning behind your answer.
The presentation should be uploaded as a.PDForMicrosoft Power Point file.Other formats will not be accepted.
Tips for creating an interesting slide deck
1. Don't "cram". It is better to use fewer, stronger, more effective words then to stick a whole bunch of text on a slide, Be precise and to the point, do not ramble on.
2. Use a font that fits but is easily readable from afar. Feel free to use what you want but a font smaller than (18) points is usually too small
