Discussion Area. In addition to your personal reactions and relevant experiences you might share in response to the reading question, please be prepared to share passages and details from the reading to support your interpretations.

By the end of the week, comment on at least two of your classmates' submissions. Your replies to classmates should be made with an eye to expand, clarify, defend, and/or refine their thoughts. The most important aspect is to be honest, clear, and detailed, referring to specific words and passages from your classmates’ postings. Please use constructive language and avoid negative language; work toward a tone and spirit of intellectual curiosity and discovery.

Your original discussion assignment responses should be at least 150 words. Your responses to your peers' writing should be a well-developed paragraph and should include specifics from the original post and ultimately make strong connections that raise interesting points about the reading.
