We hypothesize that, the more that residents of a country feel that religion is very important, the more the people of that country will agree that we should depend more on faith than on science. But we suspect that this might be a nonlinear relationship: as more and more of the people a country are very religious, some might get a bit worried about relying too much on faith. Run two regression models using WVS data, with SCIFAITH as the dependent variable. In the fi rst, use only the RELGIMP variable as your independent variable. Then, in the second model, add the square of the RELGIMP variable: RELGIMPSQRD. Write up your results, including a graph, and explain them.
