We apply our strengths across many different domains, but not always in the same way. As you read in

, areas of your life - such as work, school, family, different relationships, different communities, physical health, religion, and more - offer you varying levels of comfort and belonging.

For this discussion, you should refer back to the character strengths and virtues determined from the results inWeek 1, Assignment 2: VIA surveyyou took. You will visually map out the domains of your life with examples of how you use your strengths in these settings. Make a chart or graphicwith at least threedifferent domains, and two strengths per domain. Indicate the domain in which you’re most comfortable by highlighting it or using some other visual feature - make it stand out! For instance, if you're happiest playing on the basketball court every weekend with a particular friend group, make it clear on the diagram.
Try to make the diagram to communicate how you feel about these domains, and the strengths you've associated with them, visually. There are questions toward the bottom of these instructions that you will be directed with text that accompanies this visualization, but see if you can't also try to communicate them in the visualization itself. And if that isn't your strong suit, don't sweat it! We're learning different tools and techniques here, and that's okay.
To make your context map, you may use any diagramming / mindmapping / charting software with which you are comfortable. If you are looking for a suggested software, though, try the following:
After you're done creating your visualization, save and publish it as a .JPEG or .PNG file, then attach it to your post so your peers can view it. In the text of your discussion post, explain your Context Mapping exercise by answering the following questions (write out answers to these questions in this post, not
in the chart/graphic):
How do your strengths change across the different domains?
How might you carry some aspects from one domain to another?
What did you learn about yourself in completing this exercise?
Response posts (due 3am ET Monday):
Observe how your peers faced similar context changes or challenges. Did an aspect of their post resonate with you? Can you offer them any advice?
