Where is Unity? The Story of Churches
Religion has a major role to play in shaping the though process and belief systems of
humankind. History has been the proof of the fact that oftentimes it had been religion that had
ushered peace and prosperity and often it had been wrong religious interpretations that had
brought about war and destructions. Moreover, it can also be interesting to learn that different
world religions, despite depicting different views on several different aspects, actually are based
on the basic principle of faith in God. However, there are certain anomalies ingrained within
different religions, and one of such anomalies is the differences that some sub-sects of some
specific religions have between each other. In this respect Christianity must be briefly evaluated
because; among the sub-sects of Christianity there are differences that often point towards some
basic ignorance that emerge out of wrong notions and wrong ideologies.
I have observed some basic differences in the ideologies, preaching, and belief systems
that are prevalent within the Catholic Church, the Episcopal Church, and the Methodist Church.
Though in respect of core beliefs it can be said that almost every church believes in Christ’s
