Warden is a job that takes many years of training and experience. As noted previously, the average correctional job experience for wardens was more than fifteen years. No matter how much education, how much experience in management, or how much willingness to work a person has, nothing is more important to prepare someone to be a warden than working in a prison at a variety of levels.
