Using the knowledge, you have gained by completing the AccountingPod/Xero assignment, you are to create and analyse reports for the senior management of Demo Company.  The main objectives of this assignment are to allow students to further develop skills in analysing and understand the uses of reports (both printed and on screen) that can be generated from within Xero. Required: 1. Generation of different reports:  Create the following Accounting Reports: i. Management Report as at 30th September, 2020 ii. Reconciliation Reports as at 30th September, 2020. (NB: for GST and General Ledger Exceptions and Journal Report sections select period 1st July 2020 to 30th September, 2020) iii. Annual Accounts SPFR as at 3oth September, 2020.  Export these reports to PDF.  You have decided that you will use these reports frequently so you will set links to them up on the Accounting Menu page. When you have done this take a screen shot of your Accounting Menu. 2. Senior Management has seen a demonstration of the XERO accounting package and they were very impressed that the dashboard could be easily configured. To this end they have decided that it would be useful to see Business Performance Indicators and Accounts Watch List on the dashboard.  You have been requested to amend the dashboard so that it has the following items: i. Bank Accounts. MA509/MA509 Accounting Information Systems Page 4 of 6 ii. Total Cash In and Out. iii. Invoices owed to you. iv. Bills you need to pay. v. Accounts Watch List –You are to amend the watch list to include any 3 of the following accounts:  Sales  Advertising  General Expenses  Office Expenses  Wages and Salaries  Accounts Receivable  Accounts Payable vi. Business Performance – choose three performance ratio indicators.  You can arrange the dashboard in any format you like. Once you are satisfied with your dashboard take a screen shot of it. 3. After you have generated the reports and amended your dashboard you need to answer the following questions that have been put to you by the senior management of your company the following:  Who are the different users of the three reports you generated in section 1? That is, who will most likely use these reports and why do they use them? Why do these reports have some sections that appear identical?  Why did you choose the Accounts you added to the Accounting Watch List? What benefit it will be to the company to have these accounts on the watch list on the dashboard?  Why did you choose the performance indicators the you added to the Business Performance? Why do companies use these three indicators? What do these indicators show about the Demo company? 4. The above report should be brief (600 words + or- 10%). It should also include the following as appendices:  three PDF Reports.  The screen shots of your dashboard and accounting menu. The report together with screenshots and PDF files is to be submitted as a professional business document and must therefore follow the SOB School Guide for Written Assignments. As with all written submissions, please ensure that you keep a duplicate copy. MA509/MA509 Accounting Information Systems Page 5 of 6  Your report must be brief (600 words plus or minus 10%, excluding appendices).  Include appropriate appendices (the PDF reports and screenshots for the dashboard and accounting menu).  Be spell checked (in Australian English) and proofread thoroughly.  Use appropriate referencing (APA) throughout the report and include full acknowledgment of sources.  The report must be submitted in Turnitin by the due date.
