The chosen concept of strategic management is SWOT analysis. The organisation selected
for this task is Amazon, which is one of the biggest e-retailers in the world which tends to
have a global presence.
Strengths of Amazon
 Largest Merchandise Collection coupled with deep pockets = Amazon started in the
late 1990’s and made early inroads with books. However, over time, it has scaled up
the merchandise available to include a wide range of product which is not matched by
any other e-commerce company in the world. Besides, that considering the first mover
advantage it has in the business, it is able to ward off any competition by lowering the
prices.
 Low cost structure – The business strategy of Amazon is cost leadership which is it
