The rise of Marxism came long after Karl Marx was gone. The ideas and theories he developed in theory came to be applied only later. As such, there is a wide disparity between the theory and practical application of Marxism or as it is more commonly known Communism. The institution described by Karl Marx for his so-called Utopia required complete control of state in everything, even so much as personal choices like marriage.
