Users surfing the Internet generally leave web pages very quickly, often within 10–20 seconds. Some research suggests that the first 10 seconds of a page visit are critical to a decision to read further. A random sample of users visiting similar web pages, one with advertisements and one without, was obtained. The time (in seconds) for each visit was recorded, and the data are given in the following table.
