 Eagle has Landed to view Earth from the Apollo 11 landing site. Stop time flow and press the “K” key on the keyboard to remove the constellation display from the view. Click the Now button in the toolbar. Use the Hand Tool to locate Earth in the lunar sky. If Earth is near the “new” phase, it will be hard to see, but the label will help. With the cursor over the image of Earth in the view, click the right mouse button (Ctrl–click on a Macintosh) to open the object contextual menu for Earth and select Magnify. Change the Time Flow Rate to 10 minutes and run time forward for a while. a. Observe the surface features of Earth that you see. Do they change? If so, explain why, considering that there is no significant change in the face of the Moon as seen from Earth. b. Run time for a much longer period and describe the phases of Earth, ignoring the changes in features.
