Use the five steps in performing a hypothesis test, covered in the note sheets and Knewton instruction, to solve the following problems.
Suppose a high school principal claims that the mean SAT score in math at her school is not 550. A random sample of 72 students has a mean score of 574. Assume that the population standard deviation is 100. Perform a hypothesis test to determine if the principal’s claim is valid or not. Use a 1% significance level.
