(d) Again using the ADD heuristic, complete the following table:
(e) Use a regression model to fit an equation of the following form to the data in the table above:
“Optimal” number = a (cost per mile)b
In other words, find the least squares estimates of the values of a and b above.
(f) What does the value of b tell you about the sensitivity of the optimal number of facilities to changes in the total demand level?
