Use Minitab to determine the range, standard deviation, and variance for the data in Table 2.7 (page 22), for the time required to complete an assembly task by a sample of 30 employees. In Problem 3.18 we determined the values of the mean and median for these data by the use of Minitab.

The smallest data table for which two-way analysis of variance with interaction can be carried out is a 2 x 2table with two observations per cell. Table 13.17, which presents sales data for a consumer product in eight randomly assigned regions, is such a table. Test the effect of the two factors and of the interaction between the two factors on the weekly sales levels, using the 1 percent level of significance. Consider the meaning of your test results.
