What is the most important political, social or economic topic found in this chapter? Why do you think this concept is more important than others?
Answer: The most important political, social or economic topic that I found in this chapter is the topic of slavery. Slavery was a transatlantic institution that was found in the Atlantic and developed in the British North America which was also legalized by 1750 (Yawp, 87). States like Virginia, South Carolina and others practiced slavery way before 1750. In some states, 40% of their total population were slaves. Conversion to Christianity was also not an option for the slaves to be free (Yawp, 87). There were laws like a white man can not be accused of murder if he kills his slave whereas slaves will be severely punished if they even dare to take a stand for themselves. By the time slavery got legalized there were already thousands and thousands of slaves....
