Introduction
    The phrase David vs. Goliath in normal terms is referred
to as the situation in which a person with some kind of weakness may defeat someone who has a lot of strength. Gladwell in his book David and Goliath has described the misconception about the underdogs. According to Gladwell in his book, what we think to be an advantage in several conditions may become disadvantage as well and what may be thought as a disadvantage can be a big advantage. The book highlights the fact that weaknesses can become strengths in several situations. To win against the giants which may be the negativities or the threats or weaknesses it is important that David shall adopt a different strategy. To win the game it is important not to accept the rules as defined by the dominant players of the game. People have the perception that giants have all the strengths but in reality, strengths of the giants can be turned into their weaknesses. The game cannot be one by playing at the rules decided by the giants. The sections of the book also highlight that to win as an underdog it is important to believe that you can win.
Thesis statement
The battle against dyslexia can be a very challenging, frustrating and impossible illness. People can overcome this if they become like David and fight against this gigantic, destructive condition.
Misconception about underdogs
    The book represents two ideas, the first one being the greatness and beauty of the fight between David and Goliath and the other idea being the failure to understand that the fact that the giants also have some weaknesses. By knowing these weaknesses, it is easy for the underdog to accomplish or achieve what is unbelievable and unacceptable. David and Goliath have completely changed the perspective through which we see strengths and weaknesses, misfortunes and blessings. The overlooked reality of the circumstances is that there could be weaknesses of the giants as well which David as strength to win the game can use.
