Unless there is specific information on the relative importance among the factorial effects, the minimum aberration criterion should be used for selecting good

2k−p designs. Minimum aberration automatically implies maximum resolution.

Minimum aberration 2k−p designs are given in Appendix 5A. The minimum

aberration criterion is sometimes supplemented by the criterion of maximizing

the total number of clear main effects and two-factor interactions. Appendix

5A also includes designs that are better than the minimum aberration designs

according to the latter criterion.
